Bathroom Organization | Labels + Bins | Michaels Makers

Happy New Year! There is something so refreshing about decluttering and organizing to start the New Year! Last year, we worked on organizing our closet and I'm SO happy to report that it basically still looks the same (yes, sometimes the clothes pile up some, but I make sure to straighten up every week!)

So, for this year's Michaels Makers project, I wanted to take on another trouble spot - our bathroom organization. After taking 15 minutes to find a band aid the other day, I knew that it was time to take everything out - toss a few things - and neatly organize and tuck everything away.

I took everything out and made a few piles to figure out how many bins I would need. I forgot to take a photo of the before and organized piles (It was a mess, so I'm thinking that's why I forgot, but I think some of you would like to see more of the process!) #newyearsgoals

Next, I measured the spaces and went to Michaels to get a few bins from their Cre8ted Space line!

I used my Cricut Explore 2 machine to cut out some vinyl labels. Love this machine!!

I found it easiest to peel and apply the entire label and then pick off the areas that I wanted to take away. The pick and tweezers were especially helpful with the smaller letters! Then use your finger to smooth out any air bubbles.

I love the tray on top to organize smaller items so they won't get lost on the bottom.

It's amazing what a little organization can do! Thursday, when I got home from the dentist, I took my travel toothpaste and toothbrush and immediately put it away in the bin (instead of leaving it out for weeks until I eventually threw it in the closet). I can't wait to finish more of our house so that we can organize and make our day to day more efficient! While we work on the HVAC - we want to hire out the floor refinishing for the lower level (if you have recommendation for the Frederick, MD area, let me know!!) Check our our bathroom renovation here (SO much better than the before!)

Also, one more quick thing before I go - I also enjoyed looking at the planners at Michaels - super cute! I forgot to snap a picture, but if you like journals and planners, check them out!

    1. It's cricut vinyl and I made the label in illustrator - font is bebas- and a stroke was added around the perimeter :)
